Kazan Federal University is prestigious and second largest universities in Russia. It has been established in 1804 and was named as Imperial Kazan University. This university earned the federal status in 2011. Also it is one of the universities of Russia who were selected to take part in the Project 5-100 which was coordinated by the Govt. of Russian Federation. The summers are comfortable in the city and are partly cloudy. Whereas, winters are long, freezing and overcast. The temperatures throughout the year varies from 5°F to 77°F and is rarely below -14°F or above 88°F.
