Jiaxing University

Jiaxing University  started in 1914, and the school is located in Jiaxing. It is located in the southeast coast and the center of the Yangtze River Delta. It is connected to Shanghai in the east, Suzhou in the north, Hangzhou in the west and Hangzhou Bay in the south. It has unique geographical advantages, developed industries and economy. Prosperity is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China, the birthplace of Jiangnan culture, the permanent site of the World Internet Conference, and the comprehensive demonstration of the Shanghai demonstration zone in Zhejiang Province.

The university has three campuses, Yuexiu and Lianglin Heping Lake. The campus area is 1853.99 mu, the school building area is 869,700 square meters, the teaching and research equipment is 312 million yuan, the library paper collection is 2.319 million, and the electronic collection is 1.872 million.

There are 17 teaching units, more than 16,500 full-time students, and more than 8,000 students in adult education. There is also an independent college – Nanhu College of Jiaxing College, and nearly 8,000 full-time students of Nanhu College of Jiaxing College.

There are 55 undergraduate majors in the school, including 2 national-level specialties, 1 undergraduate teaching project of the Ministry of Education, 1 national professional certification pilot, 2 national professional certification majors, and 16 provincial-level professional construction majors. The level teacher education innovation project was selected for one major. It has 10 national and provincial experimental teaching platforms. It recruits students from 30 provinces across the country, and cooperates with 62 universities in 18 countries (regions) such as the United States, Britain, Australia, Germany, Japan and Korea to conduct joint research, double-degree study, exchange training, etc., with Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. After 17 units jointly trained graduate students, the initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 96% for many years.

The university has more than 1,600 faculty members and more than 1,060 full-time teachers, including more than 490 deputy teachers and above, more than 530 doctoral degree teachers, and four academicians. The national “100 million talent project” has been selected as a talent and the Ministry of Education. The Excellent Talent Support Program has been selected as three national-level talents, including provincial and young talents with outstanding contributions, provincial “10,000-plan” teaching masters, and provincial “Qianjiang senior talents” special professors and other provincial high-end talents. There are 2 provincial key innovation teams, 4 provincial teaching teams and 12 key technology innovation teams in Jiaxing.
